A section is a room, some named tables, or both, given to one server for tonight. Managers cover everything and have no row.
- 1Open ☰ and tap 🗺 Sections tonight. Every server on the roster has a row.
- 2Tap a room chip to give them the whole room. Type named tables under it: T4, T5, Booth 2.
- 3Tap Set sections · manager PIN. The set replaces tonight's; tomorrow starts empty.
Whether sections are enforced is the venue's switch on the dashboard's pay settings, and the sheet says which it is:
Enforced: opening a table in someone else's section needs a manager PIN.
When enforced, a server opening a table in another section reads the owner's name and gets a manager PIN prompt; a table nobody was given is open to everyone; ringing on a table that is already open is never blocked, because helping a table is not taking it. The dashboard's device hub and the host stand read the same list.
