For a guest with an exemption certificate.
- 1Tap Discount… then Tax exempt.
- 2Leave the tax codes blank to exempt every authority, or pick the ones the certificate covers.
- 3Type the reason and the certificate id. Both go on the record.
- 4Tap Apply · PIN. It needs a manager PIN with tax-exempt permission.
a paid check is a refund, not an exemption
Once money has been taken the tax was collected. Refund the payment, exempt, and take it again.
