A tab is attributed to a server, and a server who has gone home cannot be asked about it. So Clock out stops and asks.
- 1Tap Clock out. The sheet lists your open tabs with what each still owes.
- 2Pick a name under Hand them to. Only people on the clock are offered.
- 3Tap Hand over and clock out. Every tab moves to that server, keeps its lines and its sent state, and nothing re-fires in the kitchen.
Or tap Clock out anyway. The tabs stay yours. The overnight sweep will park any that are still open at close as awaiting a decision, and a manager will settle them in the morning. That is a conversation to have before you leave, not after.
