The tip chips are the venue's own presets, set on the dashboard, 15 / 18 / 20 until the owner changes them. They apply to the pre-tax share of what is being paid now, so a part payment tips on its part.
- No tip is the default. Nothing is added unless you tap.
- A guest paying on their phone adds the tip there; the till never asks.
- A tip written on a card slip after the terminal ran is fixed afterwards with Adjust tip, a manager PIN.
Tips are pooled or kept by the venue's policy and paid out at close of day.
