The close-of-day screen is the Z-report for the venue's business day, and the button that freezes it as the record.
The header states the day exactly, Thursday, Sep 3 · 4:00 AM – 4:00 AM (Toronto), from the venue's timezone and cutoff hour, never this machine's midnight. ← Previous day and Today move.
On the screen: TOTAL COLLECTED, THE NUMBERS with one tax line per authority, BY SERVER, HOW IT WAS PAID with cash expected in the drawer, the CARD TERMINAL BATCH, GIFT CARDS with the outstanding liability, CASH DRAWERS, TIPS TONIGHT, and anything still open or undecided.
Every figure refreshes when you open the screen. The close makes them permanent.
