A terminal has to be paired to the venue before anyone can sign in. The pairing is a device credential, wrapped to this machine: a copied config file on another PC yields "not paired", not a working till.
- 1On the dashboard, Team & roles → pair a device. It shows a 6-digit code.
- 2On the terminal, type the code and tap Pair.
- 3The PIN screen opens: STEP 2 OF 2. Every shift starts there from now on.
The venue's plan sets how many terminals it may pair; the starter tier three, pro six. The dashboard lists every paired device with its platform, version and last sign-in.
