When the party is large enough for the venue's deposit policy, the booking sheet quotes it: flat or per head, forfeited on no-show · free cancel to 24 h.
- 💰 Take · cash or 💳 Take · card records the deposit against the booking; cash goes into the drawer.
- ↩ Refund deposit pays it back out of the drawer.
The check that opens when the party is seated carries the deposit on file, and the pay sheet shows it as already counted. A meal the deposit fully covers ends with Close tab — the deposit covered it on the check.
